The presentation deals with the SELFIE tool. It is an initiative of the European Commission aimed at promoting the use of technology in learning methods within school bodies. SELFIE is a free, easy-to-use and customizable tool to help schools and schools assess their learning methods in the digital age. It provides insight into which strategies are working, where areas for improvement are needed and what should be the priorities. This tool is currently available in the 24 official languages of the European Union and a few other languages.

Speakers :

  • Gabrielle Lafitte completed language and literature studies and obtained a DEA from the University of Orleans Coeur de France. She taught literature and the French language at the universities of Orleans, Seville (Spain), and University College Dublin (Ireland), before focusing on adult education and the collaborative economy and working for six years for the Dublin Food Cooperative. She is currently working as a consultant at the Joint Research Center of the European Commission in Seville.

 

  • Ralph Hippe works at the Joint Research Center (JRC) of the European Commission. While he initially worked at the CCR in Ispra (Italy), he now works at the CCR in Seville (Spain).
    It contributes to research and political support in the field of education and in various related fields. Among other things, he was responsible for CCR reports using PISA data and is currently working on SELFIE, a self-reflection tool that supports schools for learning in the digital age and which was launched on October 25, 2018.
