WEBINAR – The digital governance of tomorrow … today – Thierry Karsenti

Digital questions education and its actors, about their practices, their goals. The more we identify the challenges it poses, the more gradually we build adapted, effective strategies that put digital at the service of the intentions we are pursuing.
The challenge of time is particularly central: the time of information, that of training naturally but also the time of appropriation by the actors of education: between techno-enthusiasts too quick to get started right away, technophobes who reject all integration, Karsenti values the techno-reflective, who take the time to analyze in progressive action. He insisted on the fact that these technologies represent an immense potential in the service of education but for that, it is necessary to avoid the precipitous turns and to find a right balance for a progressive evolution which leaves all room for traditional practices.

To carry out these transformation projects, he offers 23 essential ideas for a new governance with digital.

Thierry Karsenti holds the Canada Research Chair in Information and Communication Technologies in Education. He holds a Tier 1 Chair which, according to the Canada Research Chairs Program, is awarded to exceptional researchers recognized by their peers as world leaders in their field.

It also stands out for the contribution of his research activities to the quality of university education. His research interests relate to the pedagogical integration of new technologies, the teaching practices of teachers, open and distance learning, and motivation. The various projects with international influence in which Professor Karsenti participates register his professional activities in a vast international network where information and communication technologies and open and distance learning become a priority for education.
