The ZAWM St.Vith’s Classlab

The Zawm classlab focuses on the use of digital technology in vocational training and on the conditions for learning with technology. It is led by Erich Hilger and supported by several teachers, both from general and vocational subjects.

The research questions guiding the institution’s thinking are: how to offer online certificate training? How can pedagogical and technical choices be steered? How can training practices be changed through the use of digital technology? How can the professional integration of young apprentices be facilitated through these levers?
The following avenues are being explored: analysis of current teaching and learning applications and practices using ICT; exploration of methodologies for collaborative teaching and learning using ICT; digital training for teachers and discovery of emerging technologies: video games, virtual reality, etc.
